Author Guidelines
1. About the Journal
TJESDS is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research, critical reviews, and practical insights across the fields of education, sustainability, development studies, and other intersecting disciplines. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars, practitioners, and policy experts that demonstrate a transdisciplinary approach to addressing local and global challenges.
2. Manuscript Categories
Original Research Articles (5,000–8,000 words)
Review Articles (6,000–10,000 words)
Case Studies / Field Reports (3,000–5,000 words)
Book Reviews / Commentaries (1,000–2,000 words)
3. Submission Guidelines
Authors are required to submit manuscripts through the journal’s official submission email or online platform (to be specified). All submissions must be in English and prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
4. Formatting Requirements
Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
Spacing: Double-spaced throughout (including references, tables, and captions)
Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
Alignment: Justified
Page Numbers: Bottom right corner
5. Manuscript Structure
A standard manuscript should include:
a. Title Page
Title (concise and informative)
Full names of authors and institutional affiliations
Corresponding author’s email address
b. Abstract
150–250 words summarizing the background, methods, results, and conclusion
Keywords (4–6, listed below the abstract)
c. Introduction
Context, rationale, and objectives of the study
d. Literature Review (if applicable)
Synthesis of relevant prior research
e. Methodology
Research design, sampling, instruments, data collection, and analysis
f. Results
Presentation of findings with tables or figures where necessary
g. Discussion
Interpretation of results, comparison with prior studies, implications
h. Conclusion and Recommendations
Summary of key findings, contributions, and suggestions for future research
i. References
Use APA Style (7th Edition)
6. Referencing Style
All references must follow the APA 7th edition style. Examples:
Book:
Freire, P. (2000). Pedagogy of the oppressed (30th anniversary ed.). Continuum.
Journal Article:

7. Tables and Figures
Include tables and figures within the manuscript, numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
Each should have a clear title and source if not original.
8. Ethical Considerations
Authors must disclose:
Ethical approval for research involving human participants
Conflicts of interest
Funding sources
9. Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
Review decisions typically take 2–4 weeks.
Authors will receive feedback for revision or acceptance.
10. Plagiarism Policy
Manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using appropriate software.
Plagiarism in any form will lead to immediate rejection.

Authors retain copyright.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
